Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War & Call of Duty: Warzone have launched their respective Season 4 of content today. As always, there’s a whole bevvy of additions, so let’s dive in to the most notable new stuff.

The new season will feature four new maps for Cold War, three of which were revealed in the trailer last week. Hijacked, Collateral and Amsterdam will be joined mid-season by the paintball-arena themed Rush. New modes include One in the Chamber, Capture the Flag and the Multi-Team Sat-Link, where several teams fight over crashed satellites.

Zombies mode gets a second main quest entitled Operation Excision and a new Zoo region to explore in Outbreak. This will set up the next Zombies map which arrives mid-season, entitled Mauder Der Toten. Grigori Weaver from the first Black Ops game will also make his debut as a new Operative later this season.

Warzone, meanwhile, sees the addition of crashed satellites to the map alongside a new Ground Fall event. Meanwhile, there’s also a new mode in the form of Verdanski Resurgence Mini. Mysterious Red Doors have also appeared across the map, and the former Nakatomi Plaza is now under new management and is now known as Downtown Tower. The Gulag has also had a makeover, with a new area based on Hijacked for you to win back your place when eliminated.

As always, there’s a bunch of tweaks and balance changes. One notable one is that the game now supports 120hz on the PlayStation 5. The feature had been quietly added to the Xbox Series X|S version of the game, but now PS5 owners can get in on the smoother framerate, provided they have the hardware to do so.

You can check out the full patch notes for Season 4 here for Call of Duty: Warzone and here for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. You can also check out a preview of this season’s Battle Pass in the trailer below. The update is live now for both games on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
