Boxing sensation Floyd Mayweather has confirmed during an interview with TMZ (via PCGamesN) that he’s currently beavering away on his own video game.

The ex-champion, who made a one-off comeback in 2017 against Conor McGregor, said ‘I’m working on my video game as we speak’ while celebrating his 41st birthday just a few days ago. Mayweather then added that he didn’t feel like partnering with EA Sports on Fight Night as ‘before I do anything I gotta have some ownership.’

That’s about all there is to know right now on Mayweather’s video game project, though hopefully we’ll get some new info soon enough. For now, check out the brief interview snippet below.

Mayweather started competing as a professional boxer in 1996 and has garnered a reputation as one of the greatest defensive boxers of all time, boasting a whopping 26 consecutive wins in world title fights.Â
