Hugely popular multiplayer shooter Overwatch may be more than a year old at this point, but its popularity shows no sign of slowing down, which is no wonder as Blizzard continue to add more content, unveiling a new hero and a new map in Moira and Blizzard World during Blizzcon this weekend.

Moira is a support class, who’s backstory sees her being a genetic scientist from Ireland who was hired by covert ops division Blackwatch who later joined Talon when Overwatch disbanded. In-game, her abilties include Fade – a short distance teleport –  a Biotic Orb not unlike Zenyattas and a Biotic Grasp that sees one hand heal allies while the other damages enemies and transfers their health to her. Her ultimate, Coalescence, is described as a ‘long range beam that both heals allies and bypasses barriers to damage her enemies. ‘

Meanwhile the new map – Blizzard World – is a celebration of all things Blizzard from the developer’s history including World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Hearthstone and more. (Doesn’t that tavern look lovely?) It’s going to be a hybrid Assault and Payload map and is expected to go live in early 2018 but not before being added to the PTR ‘soon’.

Finally in Overwatch related goodness, Blizzard also put out the latest of their lovely animated shorts with Honor and Glory focusing on big ol’ Reinhardt. You can see that for yourself here:
