The Black Ops 6 cycle has injected a breath of fresh air into the Zombies mode, much to the delight of fans looking for an alternative to multiplayer and Warzone that continues to be infested with cheaters ruining the action.
Alongside modders who continue to offer classic alternatives to the modern offering, attention is already turning to the next chapter of the Dark Aether storyline following the launch of the Season 2 Reloaded update. In addition to the launch of a directed Easter Egg mode for The Tomb map, a fresh leak claims the third post-launch battleground is on its way.
Black Ops 6 Mansion map to launch in Season 3
According to notable Call of Duty leaker ‘Reality’, the next Zombies map is set to launch as part of the Season 3 update.
Set to launch on March 18, 2025, the Season 3 update for Black Ops 6 marks the halfway point of the cycle. Despite the flaws in multiplayer, Treyarch has managed to deliver a Zombies experience that has become the highlight of its latest annual release as more players than ever load in to slay endless waves of undead opposition instead of picking Nuketown as their preferred battleground.
In addition to the new map, Reality goes a step further, revealing the update will also include the return of the Double Tap Root Beer along with a fresh set of Augments to research and enhance your gameplay.
The conclusion of The Tomb Easter Egg teased the third map is set in Richtofen’s mansion in Liberty Falls. The cutscene also reveals that the next part of the story involves activating the Sentinel Artifact using materials that appear within the area.
Is the leak legit?
There’s a high chance players are reunited with Richtofen as part of the mansion storyline but we’ll have to wait and see what Treyarch has in store. As with all leaks, it’s important to take them with a pinch of salt but considering Reality’s impressive track record, there’s every chance there is some degree of accuracy.
For now, the Season 3 update is looking like another big one for Black Ops 6 Zombies as the foundations are laid for the final parts of the Dark Aether story.
