The launch of Ranked Play in a Call of Duty game always attracts players looking to play using the same rules and regulations as the very best players in the world. For Black Ops 6, the competitive mode has released earlier than ever before much to the delight of fans looking for their competitive fix.
With players attempting to reach the highest skill divisions on offer, Ranked Play provides an ideal platform for those wanting to test their skills against their fellow players. Unfortunately, hackers are already spoiling the fun. Just hours after Ranked Play dropped, cheaters are already climbing the ranks to gain an unfair advantage over their opposition.
Black Ops 6 Ranked Play ruined by hackers
After Treyarch surprised players with an early launch, those using underhanded tactics to gain the upper hand quickly stamped their authority on matches leaving legitimate players with little chance of securing a victory. Ranging from aimbots to wall hacks, cheaters are resorting to such measures as they attempt to compete with the best on the competitive ladder.
As a number of streamers and professional players loaded into the action, the cheaters appeared soon after reaching the Diamond rank leaving some bewildered by the situation.
The resurgence of hackers in Black Ops 6 Ranked Play is certainly disappointing news for those hoping for a level playing field. Treyarch’s 2024 release doesn’t feature the ability to disable crossplay, leaving console players no choice but to have their matches ruined by those incapable of aiming.
This comes just after Black Ops 6 launched with a splurge of undetectable cheaters that ravaged the game’s anti-cheat software.
Is Black Ops 6 anti-cheat broken?
Alongside the launch of Ranked Play, the team behind Ricochet anti-cheat unveiled a wealth of new measures in a bid to reduce the number of cheaters making it into matches. Despite the developer cracking down on using a VPN to enter easier matches and adding a 50-match entry requirement, cheaters are still managing to slip through the net.
The issue has become such a huge issue in a short space of time, some content creators are already cutting their streams short due to the unplayable nature of the latest Call of Duty competitive mode.
All hope is not lost for Black Ops 6 Ranked play yet. Treyarch often acknowledges players’ feedback and swiftly applies updates to rectify any problems. We’ll have to wait and see if the developer can prevent more cheaters from ruining the mode before players decide to ignore it altogether.
While you wait for Treyarch to swing its ban hammer, take a look at when the next double XP weekend is taking place.
