We are less than a month away from the arrival of Call of Duty Black Ops 6. There is a lot for the community to anticipate in the campaign and base multiplayer experience, and there is also the arrival of zombies which is poised to be bigger and better than every other CoD installment. The developers have begun hyping new content, and a leak has possibly revealed the new Black Ops 6 zombies map for Season 1.
CoD players only have to wait until October 25th for the Black Ops 6 release date. It will be on Xbox Game Pass from day one of its release for the first time in the series’ history, and Treyarch has announced some huge changes to multiplayer based on feedback from the betas. This includes the addition of a new feature because of “popular demand“.
While the main multiplayer experience should be fantastic, we have a lot of optimism for zombies this year. The developers have revealed a new map is getting introduced in Season 1, and it’s possible the name of this new map has leaked.
Black Ops 6 zombies is getting new map in Season 1
When Call of Duty Black Ops 6 launches on October 25th, there will be two maps available for zombies mode: Liberty Falls and Terminus. It is round-based gameplay, and you will be fighting waves of the living dead.
While Liberty Falls and Terminus will be available right away, Treyarch has announced there will be a new map added with Season 1. The name of this new map hasn’t been revealed, but it will arrive before the end of 2024, with Season 1 expected to launch either late-November or early-December.
Although the name of the new map hasn’t been announced, leaks have revealed it could possibly be one of the following:
- zm_janustowers
- zm_thekeep
- zm_mansion
- zm_digsite
All of the above originate from in-game code leaks via Steam during the beta as reported by Call of Duty YouTuber, MrDalekJD. This leak revealed classics mode, and it might have also leaked the above as four new maps for zombies post-launch.
MrDalekJD says that Janus Towers was the main codename leaked, which means it could be the first new map for Season 1. As for what Janus Towers could be all about, there’s nothing to go off besides its codename.
Project Janus is the focal point of the story for Black Ops 6 zombies, and it continues on from the end of Cold War. The project is run by Dr Edward Richtofen, and it involves gateways and portals to the Dark Aether.

While Janus Towers could be the new map for Season 1, it feels more likely that it could be the final new map for zombies as the grand finale to the Project Janus story. In which case, the Mansion, Digsite, and The Keep feel more likely for Season 1.
In addition to a new map, we know Season 1 is bringing back Jingle Hells from Cold War. This will happen in December, and it’s a limited-time mode that will bring the Christmas spirit to zombies.
