BioShock Infinite will not offer a multiplayer element, series front-man Ken Levine has confirmed on Twitter.

Responding to a question regarding the inclusion of multiplayer, Levine wrote: “No multi.”

That seems pretty clear cut.

Irrational was known to be working on two multiplayer modes – Spec Ops and a defense-style mode set in a steampunk arcade machine – but these were publicly cancelled back in August.

BioShock: Infinite is set for release on February 26, 2013.
