EA has already confirmed that Battlefield Hardline will run at 1080p/60fps on PS4 - and that "should" also be the case for the Xbox One version as well, creative director Ian Milham has said.
"If you look at the games that Visceral Games has made before, we have always strive for total parity between our platforms," Milham told GamingBolt.com.
"Of course, the PC version, it will do whatever your PC can handle, and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will obviously not be as high res as compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. But those two [PS4 and Xbox One] should be locked in together."
Boosting the Xbox One version to 1080p should offer a significant visual improvement over last year's Battlefield 4, which ran at 720p on the console. The PS4 game, meanwhile, will see a slightly smaller boost from 900p to 1080p.
Battlefield Hardline launches on October 24 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC, with a playable beta available now on PS4 and PC. A second beta is expected on all formats later in the year.
