Baldur’s Gate 3 and Stardew Valley have been merged in an amazing total conversion mod for the ever-popular farming game. Dubbed Baldur’s Village, this fan-made expansion merges the two worlds to beautiful effect – now we just need a farming mod for Baldur’s Gate!

Baldur’s Village is a beautiful BG3 tribute

Created by an extremely talented modding team, Baldur’s Village 1.0 can be grabbed right here on Nexus. The new Stardew Valley expansion is an add-on for the original game that gives you over 20 new characters, 6 locations, new shops with their own items and more.

All of your favourite Baldur’s Gate 3 characters are now available to chat with in Stardew Valley, all with their own dialogue, sprites, profiles and events. As a brand-new area, you can traverse between the old Pelican Town and the new modded expansion areas as you would any other location.

At the time of writing, only one character is available for a full romance route: Astarion. (Of course.) In Baldur’s Village, the lovable vampire that keeps popping up in official D&D content has a “fully developed” storyline and “is available for marriage”.

After downloading the mod from Nexus, there are a few prerequisites needed to actually play Baldur’s Village. Fans need to install SMAPI, Content Patcher and Portraiture before installing the new Baldur’s Gate 3 content or else the fan-made expansion can’t be played.

With Baldur’s Gate 3 fans creating massive new custom campaigns with their own parties of characters, or simply adding functional pokeballs to the game, it’s awesome to see some fans bringing Larian’s RPG to other titles as well. After all, there really is no better match than this.
