Alongside confirming new details for The Witcher 4, Borderlands 4 and more, The Game Awards 2024 also did what many expected it to do—give out actual game awards. Within the annual celebrations, Larian Studio’s Baldur’s Gate 3 received yet another prestigious award just a year after sweeping the celebrations.

Baldur’s Gate 3 wins Best Community Support

At The Game Awards 2024, Baldur’s Gate 3 took home the award for Best Community Support. Following an entire year of patches—next year’s patch 8 has been announced as the last major patch—Larian Studios’ award is one that’s truly earned.

Despite being a single-player game, Larian Studios has not abandoned the already massive RPG. In fact, the game developer has added massive mod support to the game’s console versions, brought in more endings and is even creating 12 additional subclasses for the game.

While Larian Studios is moving onto its next project with a release targeting 2028 at the absolute earliest, Baldur’s Gate 3 is still receiving support. It may not be getting the huge expansion many have been hoping for, but after a year of content, there’s more content than most gamers can even find time to experience.

Unfortunately, no time was given for the developers to give another speech for their amazing RPG. We imagine they needed to wrap things up as Geoff announced another one of his famous “world premier” trailers.
