Ubisoft has pulled back the curtain on the post-launch content for viking adventure Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will include both paid Season Pass content as well as four pieces of free seasonal additions planned for the game’s first year.

The Season Pass will consist of three items, starting with The Legend of Beowulf quest which will be available at launch and allow Eivor to explore more about the famous Viking fable. This’ll be followed by Wrath of the Druids, expected in Spring 2021 that will offer players a chance to explore some Gaelic myth and folklore as they investigate a druidic cult.

Finally, in Summer 2021, The Siege of Paris sees Eivor and company head to Europe, where they can take part in one of the most ambitious battles in Viking history. While the city is under siege, you’ll be sneaking in to uncover enemy secrets and take the city down from the inside.

Away from the Season Pass, Ubisoft has promised that all players will get access to “an extensive lineup of free content” made up of ‘Seasons’ with each season lasting three months. The first of these will launch in December and include new abilities, weapons and cosmetic items, a new settlement area, a Yule Festival, a new game mode known as River Raids and finally the Ranks system, which allow you and your friends to create Viking lieutenants which can be hired into your raiding party.

There’ll be three more seasons across the first year, with the subsequent releases planned in Spring, Summer and Fall of 2021. On top of all of this, Ubisoft also confirms that the game will be getting its own Discovery Tour mode as was released for ACs Origins and Odyssey, allowing you to explore the game world and learn about the history behind Valhalla’s world without combat, that’s expected to launch in 2021.
