Ubisoft has confirmed it will be outfitting its Trials of the Gods challenge for Assassin’s Creed Origins with a new hard difficulty setting.

Just in case you thought scrapping with Sobek, Sekhmet, and Anubis was too easy the first time around, the new update, due tomorrow, offers players a far greater challenge plus a bunch of new loot as a reward. Each week of March will see both the standard difficulty and the new, tougher mode available for each hulking boss.

Outside of this, Ubisoft will also be offering up the Light Among the Dunes quest, which acts as a precursor to the forthcoming undead-flavoured Curse of the Pharaohs expansion, due next week.

Assassin’s Creed Origins was released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One in October last year, and took the series into full-on RPG territory. Alice thought this was a great addition to the franchise, and came away suitably impressed with Bayek’s sun-soaked adventure as a result.
