Ubisoft has confirmed that the first slice of major Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC, known as The Hidden Ones, will roll out later this month and offers a brand new adventure for protagonist Bayek following the main quest.

Here, players will get stuck into a fresh adventure set in new Roman-occupied territory, which the French publishing giant claims will offer a ‘vast’ new story. You’d better slip your grinding gloves back on too, as Origins’ level cap will be raised to 45 with the DLC.

Outside of this, Ubisoft will also complement The Hidden Ones with a slew of free goodies, including a new Warden outfit, an extra quest, plus the chance to battle in the Trials of the Gods – Anubis is awaiting your challenge now, while Sobek will rock up on January 23.

If that wasn’t enough, gamers can also nab new items from Origins’ Heka chests, including those from the Nightmare, Gladiator, First Civilisation, and Wacky Packs, as well as flog unwanted outfits to weavers.

No release date for The Hidden Ones has been set yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted. In the meantime, have a butcher’s at Alice’s review of Assassin’s Creed Origins to see what she thought of Ubisoft’s sun-baked stabathon.
