Apex Legends Season 14 arrives today (Tuesday, August 9, 2022) at 13:00 ET (10:00 PT / 18:00 BST / 19:00 CEST)
Before you’re able to play the update, you’ll first need to download the patch – which will go live at the same time. However, PlayStation owners are able to download the patch right now.

We now know the PS5 patch for Season 14 is 11.6GB which isn’t actually too massive. It’s a hefty 40.4GB on PS4. On Xbox it’s around 16GB, while it’s 15GB on Steam and 12 GB on Origin.
Here are some simple tips that could help you the download Apex Legends Season 14 patch faster:
- Make sure no other games are downloading / updating in the background
- Disable all apps that are not being used
- Disconnect other devices from Wifi if they’re not being used
- Ideally use ethernet connection

Season 14 will see the introduction of new legend Vantage. Her full name is Xiomara ‘Mara’ Contreras, born and raised on the ice planet of Pagos.
Her mother raised her to survive in the icy climes, forming her into a keen ranged expert. However, at age 18 she got into trouble after discovering the wreck of the GDS Vantage.

The new season will also see an increase to the game’s level cap. There’s now three new tiers of 1-500, based on a prestige system.
