Apex Legends Arsenal is set to introduce a new legend named Ballistic, and fans will surely want to try him out immediately based on the abilities exhibited in his character trailer. Though reckless and boastful, the Thunderdome Games legend has the talent to back it all up as evidenced by his Sling skill, which allows him to wield three weapons in a match.

With the Apex Legends Season 17 release date nearly here, EA is already starting to give its players an extensive look at the latest roster addition. Based on several viewer reactions under Ballistic’s preview video, it’s safe to say that many already have high expectations for the new legend with one user even saying that he’ll be part of the meta no matter what.

But aside from his useful passive ability that enables him to hold three firearms in a match, Ballistic’s tactical and ultimate skills are also nothing to scoff at either. According to EA’s character trailer, his tactical ability “shoots a projectile that heats up an enemy’s gun as they shoot.” Once their weapon overheats, it will cause damage to them so those affected will inevitably have to limit their fire rate.

On the other hand, Ballistic’s ultimate ability, called Tempest, is a unique and convenient team-based talent that gives nearby squad mates “faster reloads, faster unarmed move speed, and infinite ammo” when activated. Using it will also automatically equip his Sling weapon while simultaneously upgrading it to gold.

Now that Apex Legends Arsenal is bringing in the aptly named Ballistic into the fray soon, players are already itching to get some runs in with the battle royale legend as soon as he becomes available. While you wait for his arrival, though, check out the latest Apex Legends codes for some free goodies.
