Another blow for Wii U as Batman: Arkham Origins DLC is cancelled

Upcoming single-player story DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins has been cancelled on Wii U, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed.

Warner explained the decision to VG247.

“Based on demand for DLC content on the system, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has made the decision to remove its offering of the upcoming all-new story campaign for Wii U,” reads a statement from a PR rep.

Being shafted on DLC isn’t unusual for Wii U; Ubisoft hasn’t offered any DLC for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 missed out on additional map packs. Unless Wii U sales begin to pick up, it’s a situation unlikely to change.
