Alpha Protocol has been pulled from Steam as a result of Sega's publishing rights expiring.
If you go on the Steam page for Alpha Protocol, you can see the following note: 'Notice: At the request of the publisher, Alpha Protocol is no longer available for sale on Steam.'
A spokesperson from Sega told Eurogamer, 'Following the expiry of Sega's publishing rights for Alpha Protocol, the title has been removed from Steam and is no longer on sale.'
If you have already bought Alpha Protocol on Steam, then you will still be able to download the game. The expiration of the game's publishing rights only affects sales going forwards.
Alpha Protocol was developed by Obsidian, the talented RPG studio who made Fallout: New Vegas and are currently developing The Outer Worlds (which looks like Fallout in space).
