The Creative Assembly is working on a new game based on the Alien license, SEGA has confirmed at a press event in Horsham this morning. The confirmation comes after the announcement was let out of the bag early by British Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, Ed Vaizey.

“Great visit to Creative Assembly one of UK’s best developers. Now hiring for new blockbuster based on Alien,” Tweeted Vaizey at around 11am this morning.

No details on known on the Aliens game, other than it is based on the “Alien” license from 20th Century Fox. More information on the Alien project is expected from SEGA soon.
