Scottish BAFTA award-winning developer Blazing Griffin has unveiled murder mystery Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases coming to consoles and PC in September.

Made as an official collaboration with the Agatha Christie company responsible for the author’s literary rights, the game is an original story in the Belgian detective’s universe. Set before he made his name, Hercule Poirot is just a lowly detective in pre-war Belgium. After being invited to an engagement reception for the daughter of the influential Van den Bosch family, a sudden snowstorm traps guests inside the manor. As you’ve probably guessed, this leads to a murder and it’s up to you as Poirot to solve the case.

You’ll be tasked with using your deduction skills and connecting clues together using a mindmap. Doing this will allow you to link elements of the case as you question the various members of the family, investigate leads and explore the house. The murder isn’t the only mystery you’ll be solving, and you’ll be piecing together leads as shocking secrets are revealed.

Check out a trailer for the game below. Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases is set to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 28. The game will also be backwards compatible with the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
