Angry Birds is set to make its first appearance on home consoles under the publishing wing of Activision.

The first sign of Angry Birds on consoles was spotted by The Escapist over on Activision’s E3 booth. A video showed the Activision logo getting hit by a red bird which then explodes into feathers.

The publisher later confirmed that Angry Birds is coming to consoles.

“We’ll have some news for you in about two weeks,” Activision told the website. “Wait until you see Angry Birds on consoles in HD.”

Activision blogger Dan Amrich also chirped in with a comment on the One of Swords blog, stating “some sort” of Angry Birds game is coming to consoles.

Earlier this week Rovio announced that Angry Birds Space has been downloaded 100 million times in just 76 days.
