The 3DS eStore, which allows users to download new games and applications, will be ready when the handheld launches, Nintendo has confirmed to Eurogamer.
Earlier reports had indicated that the store wouldn’t be ready for the launch of the new handheld console and would be added later through a firmware update.
A web browser and eStore won’t be included in the firmware which ships with the 3DS, but an update will be released on “day one”, stated Nintendo.
The Nintendo 3DS will launch in the UK on March 25.
The lack of online store and web browser at launch was a slight blip on the wave of excitement surrounding the 3DS, but now there’s nothing to worry about.
