BioWare’s award winning RPG was published under the Microsoft Games Studio label when released on the Xbox, but the game’s PC release will be handled by Take-Two’s 2K Games.

The Special Edition will be available exclusively for the PC, and promises improved visuals thanks to higher resolution graphics and new visual effects. The game will also feature new fighting styles, plus new monsters and enemies with enhanced A.I. Being a special edition, the package will also contain an all-new art book.

BioWare has a large and loyal fan base of PC RPG gamers and we have heard their many requests for a PC version of Jade Empire,” said Greg Zeschuk, president of BioWare. “We are happy to work with 2K on our latest product.

Jade Empire: Special Edition will be released on PC in January 2007.
