We dutifully reported this week that Konami had scrapped work on a number of next generation games but, just to confuse our addled minds, the publisher has now declared the games are still in development.
Although the news that six PS3 and Wii titles, including a new version of shoot-’em-up legend Gradius, were for the chop was originally reported by two reputable Japanese mags, Famitsu and Dengeki, this was apparently an error and they all remain in production.
Most of the games only had vague working titles, like ‘New Action Adventure Game 2’ and ‘New Role Playing Game’ but PS3 games Gradius Series and Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball were both named in the list. No release date for any of these games has been announced so far but we will keep you posted on any reliable news we get.
Konami has still officially canned Coded Arms Assault on PS3.
