- You can change a few settings in ZZZ to improve your enjoyment.
- We recommend turning down the Color Filter and having the Run in City option being Hold instead of Press.
It’s fair to say that Zenless Zone Zero is a beautiful-looking game, with polished visuals and a brilliant anime vibe. If you’re playing on PC, you should make sure you’re playing ZZZ on the best settings to get the most out of it. It’s not just about the graphics; you can mess with your input settings and change the difficulty. Here are the best settings for Zenless Zone Zero.
Best input settings in ZZZ
When playing ZZZ, you might find the camera moves around too slowly for your liking. If that’s the case, you can change the input sensitivity of your mouse or controller to better suit your taste. For us, we’ve found a good sensitivity is 4 on the X-axis and 3 on the Y-Axis. We’ve set the Board Camera to 3 and have automatic camera rotation on.
If your PC can play and handle ZZZ well, we also highly recommend playing on PC using a mouse and keyboard for the control input instead of using a gamepad of any persuasion. The mouse cursor in ZZZ gives you tons of freedom and makes navigating the various menus and TV screens much easier. The keyboard inputs are all as you might expect them, which makes it very intuitive to play.
Best Colour Filter settings
Inside the game settings, you might have noticed an option for Color Filter. While it is not immediately obvious as to what this refers to, it is actually a way to change how the game looks on PS5 and PC, without technically being a graphics setting. By default, the scale is set to 10/10. If you reduce this to zero, you’ll notice that the game’s visuals become a lot sharper, removing the slightly hazy feel to a lot of the environments. You can see the difference in the two images below, the first shows the setting at maximum while the second shows it set to zero.
ZZZ difficulty settings
In ZZZ, you have the option to change the difficulty of Story Commissions. You can choose between Casual Mode and Challenge Mode. The main difference here is enemies have more HP and take longer to kill. In general, we don’t recommend this because the challenge it presents to you isn’t meaningful, so just stick to Casual Mode to keep things simple. You’ll have plenty of fun playing the combat in Casual. You can change these settings whenever you want, so feel free to experiment.
Quality of life settings
The only other settings to change in the menu are the options to Show Combat DMG and Run in City. Show combat damage simply shows the numbers when attacking, so this is a personal preference thing if you want that on. The numbers aren’t super large, but it can be distracting to see it all the time. We recommend using Hold for run in the city since you can end up sprinting when you don’t mean to by a simple press. Holding the dash button will let you have more control, but this is again a preference thing.
