Wondering where to find the Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic? During the opening minutes of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, shortly after you re-awaken as Link and make your way out of the cave you’ve been recovering in, you find the Archaic Legwear in a treasure chest. However, the Archaic Tunic – the other piece of armor to complete the Archaic armor set – is nowhere to be found.
You’ll need plenty of help during these early stages in the latest Zelda game, including things like knowing how to cook in Tears of the Kingdom, along with how to shield surf. You’ll find plenty of pieces of loot, but where on Hyrule is the Archaic Tunic?
Where is the Archaic Tunic in Tears of the Kingdom?
The Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic location is in a chest inside Pondside Cave, which is on on the southwestern side of the Great Sky Island. The coordinates are 0263, -0913, 1459. Here is the location marked on the map:
Obtaining the Archaic Tunic will complete the Archaic Outfit, which is essentially the most beginner set of armour in the game, with only a single point in the base defence stat and no headgear option.
Don’t worry if you don’t obtain the Archaic Tunic right from the start, as you will encounter it naturally by progressing through the story. Once you have obtained both the Ultrahand and Fuse abilities from the first two Tears of the Kingdom shrines (In-isa Shrine and Ukouh Shrine), the Steward Construct will direct you towards the cave. After defeating the Bubbulfrog inside, loot the chest to find the Archaic Tunic.
