Having no traditional levelling system to beef up your Skif’s stats and fighting chops, Stalker 2 instead relies on finding ever-better weapons to fight off the many threats lurking across the irradiated plains of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Alongside, more powerful weapons, there are weapon attachments, which serve very much the same function as they would in any typical first-person shooter: improve your weapons, whether that’s a better scope, a bigger magazine, a suppressor for stealth, or faster reloading. Though you’ll come across attachments organically out in the wild at the various traders across the Zone, we’ve pulled together a full list of all Stalker 2 attachments, including what weapons they are compatible with, and where to find them.

From what we gather, weapon attachments become available for sale at vendors once you’ve found the gun at least once out in the wild. The exact mechanics are a bit opaque, but it appears that you need to have looted the gun once for the attachments to show up. Finding these guns on dead enemies is tied to the story, so if you can’t quite put your finger on a specific attachment, push on with the story.

How to equip attachments

To equip an attachment, open up your inventory and drag the attachment onto the weapon where you want it installed. Alternatively, press and hold T on your keyboard to bring up a menu showing any attachments you currently have in your inventory that are compatible. Select the attachment you want to equip. To remove an attachment, open up your inventory, right-click on the weapon then select the attachment to remove it.
