Pokemon Scarlet And Violet is now out, and by now, you’re probably deep into the main storyline. You might have even completed the main story a fair few times, but that’s not all there is to the game. There are some Pokemon up for grabs once you finish the campaign that will require you to venture out into the world and look for them.

There are 4 other legendary Pokemon up for grabs, each with their respective colors for their individual shrine. The Purple Shrine has the Grasswither Shrine associated with it, so if you’re interested in the Grasswither Shrine, this is the place for you. So let’s dive into this guide!

What Are The Purple Shrines
The Grasswither Shrine glows a haunting purple color with 8 Stakes at different locations. Once all of these 8 Stakes have been captured, only then can you’ll be able to fight and catch the legendary Ting-Lu Pokemon. We’ll be diving into all 8 locations of the Purple Stakes, so don’t skip.

Where To Find All Purple Stakes
The Purple Stakes are located in the East Province and Eastern Sections of the South Province of Paldea; the exact locations are as follows:
Purple Stake 1 Location
This Stake is located southwest of Artazon just to the south of the Pokemon Center east of it. You’ll find the Purple Stake neatly perched at the top of a hill.

Purple Stake 2 Location
This Stake is located northeast of Los Platos at the top of a plateau. It should be sitting on top of a small hill to the right of the path that leads to the main gates of Los Platos.

Purple Stake 3 Location
The next Stake is also located at the top of a plateau, and unlocking your ride Pokemon’s abilities like high jump and gliding will make reaching it much easier. The exact location of this Stake is slightly northeast of the Pokemon Center in front of Mesagoza if you’re coming from Los Platos road.

Purple Stake 4 Location
This Stake is located to the east of Mesagoza in the South Province desert. Located atop another hill, the Purple Stake is overlooking a Pokemon Center and the Mesagoza to its west.

Purple Stake 5 Location
This fifth purple Stake can be found near a lake south of Los Platos. This Stake is also overlooking the lighthouse which you and Nemona climbed at the beginning of the game.
Purple Stake 6 Location
The sixth purple Stake resides in the South Province (Area Five). Seemingly located nowhere near a landmark, it rests atop a plateau. You’ll need to head over to the southeast of Mesagoza, northeast of Los Platos.

Purple Stake 7 Location
The following Purple Stake is sandwiched between Mesagoza and Artazon in the East Province (Area One). It’s located at the top of a piece of land that sticks out on the world map if you notice.

Purple Stake 8 Location
The next Purple Stake is located near a lake in South Province (Area One), but it’s also pretty close to South Province (Area Five). This Stake is pretty far away from landmarks, with the closest landmark being the Los Platos Pokemon Center ( which is still way away southeast from it). There’s also a nearby Pokemon Center to the northeast of the Stake.

How To Find and Open the Purple Shrine
Once you have activated all 8 Stakes, now must make your way to the Grasswither Shrine.
Where Is The Grasswither Shrine Located
The Grasswither Shrine is located in the southern province of Pokemon Scarlet And Violet, also known as Area One. The exact location is almost parallel, towards the east of the Poco Path Lighthouse.
If you have completed history lessons at the academy, the exact location will be marked on your Overworld map, making the journey quite easy and rather quick.

Once you’ve located the exact position of the Shrine, the fastest way to get there is to fly to the Poco Path Lighthouse and then follow the coastline towards the east. A little down the line and you should be able to spot the haunted purple shrine on a hillside.
How to Open the Purple Shrine
If you’ve gotten yourself to the Grasswither Shrine, walk up to it and press to touch the shrine. You will hear a slight rumble here, and a Pokemon will appear in front of you, the legendary Wo-Chien. Now comes the difficult part, capturing the Wo-Chien, but worry not, we’ve told you how to catch that too!

Final Thoughts
Although getting all Purple Stakes and the Purple Shrine is a long process, a great thing about it is that you’ll have 4 more legendary Pokemon to add to your list. With that said, if you ever feel bored while hunting for the Stakes and shrine, you can always explore around and move at your own pace.
