And, these don’t even include all the legendary Pokémon you’re able to find in the new adventure at Blueberry Academy. But, the reward of having legendaries on your team is too good to pass up. Where to find Groudon
Groudon can only be found after obtaining a Groudon Treat from Snacksworth. You’ll need to use the treat to have Groudon appear in the overworld. Then, Groudon will appear in the Alfornada Cavern.

To get the Groudon Treat, you have to have completed the Indigo Disk storyline. Then, for completing 10 Blueberry Quests, you’ll be rewarded with a special treat from Snacksworth that will lure a specific legendary Pokémon. If you don’t get the Groudon Treat on your first try, keep completing Blueberry Quests to get more until you have the one you need.
Once you’ve gotten the Groudon Treat, use it to have Groudon appear in Paldea. From there, head to the Alfornada Cavern in South Province (Area Six). This is just West of Alfornada, and it has a dirt road leading right up to it.
You’ll need to use Miraidon or Kiraidon to climb and fly to the top back level of the cavern. On your minimap, it will show you right outside Alfornada Gym, where you battled Tulip.
Groudon is very big, and luckily they stand out amongst the brown of the cave by being bright red. Once you encounter the Pokémon, you’re free to engage them in battle to capture Groudon.
Save before starting
Before you being your battle with Groudon, we highly recommend saving your game. This way, if you miss Groudon when you attempt to catch them and they get away, you can reload the save and try again.
Groudon abilities and stats
Groudon is a legendary Ground-type Pokémon that is weak to Water, Grass, and Ice attacks. Groudon has the special ability Drought, in which the Pokémon changes the weather to Harsh Sunlight for five turns. Here are the base stats for Groudon:

These stats will increase as you level Groudon with EXP.
