As you can see from the list above, several of the evolution items have to be held by the respective Pokémon and then traded for the evolution to work. Give your Pokémon the item to hold, then trade that Pokémon. It will cause them to evolve.
However, not all Pokémon need items to evolve. For a majority of your pocket monsters in Indigo Disk, you’ll just need to keep leveling them up or building a strong bond with them to get them to evolve.
Trading Tips
If you need to evolve your Pokémon but don’t want to trade it away, find a friend to trade with who will give you your newly evolved Pokémon back. Alternatively, you can find another player who is looking to evolve their Pokémon but needs to trade them, then trade them back to each other.
Where to find evolution items
Nearly all the evolution items can be found in the League Club or Terarium. You can simply purchase them from the shopkeeper if they are on the list of items. However, you’ll need to do some searching if you want to find them in Terarium.
How to find Galarica Cuff and Galaric Wreath
The only evolution items that can’t be found in either of these locations are the Galarica Cuff and Galarica Wreath. These items need to be made, which you can do by gathering Galarica Twigs which you can find on the beach in the Coastal Plaza of Terarium. There will be a trainer there who offers to weave them for you, which you can do as many times as you’d like.
That’s everything you need to know about evolution items and which Pokémon they evolve. Be sure to check out how to change your throwing style and how to use the Item Printer in Indigo Disk if you need more help getting through the DLC.
Indigo Disk evolution items FAQs
Do all Pokémon use evolution items?
No, not all Pokémon will use evolution items to evolve. Only the ones listed will need items to do so.
Where can I find evolution items?
A majority of evolution items can be found in the League Club store. If you can’t find them on the list of items, they’ll instead be found as an item pickup in the Terarium dome. Only Galarica Cuffs and Galarica Wreaths cannot be found in either of these spots.
