Where to Find Teddiursa in Scarlet and Violet?
While Teddiursa’s cuteness knows no bounds, ironically it isn’t a rare Pokemon and can be easily found loitering about in groups or as a loner.Â
Due to its fondness for honey, you can find Teddiursa roaming near areas with trees. Just stick to the shrubbery in Area One and Area Two of each of the North, East, and South Provinces, Area Three of the West Province, Area Four and Five of South Province, Casseroya Lake, and Tagtree Thicket. For a higher chance of stumbling upon this adorable Pokemon, scout in East Province, by the coast, and under Zapapico.

There is a 5% chance that any Teddiursa you catch will be holding honey. Teddiursas are known to be sneaky little bears who follow Combees to their hives, from where they pick huge globs of honey in their palms and lick them off afterward.

Teddiursa is a relatively fragile Pokemon and can faint easily if you go too hard on it. Because it’s primarily a Normal type Pokemon, it is weak to Fighting moves and resistant to Ghost moves. Cleverly use that to your advantage, and don’t overdo it when catching a Teddiursa.
How to Evolve Teddiursa in Scarlet and Violet?
In short, a Teddiursa will automatically evolve into an Ursaring when it hits level 30. Once evolved, Ursaring can learn a variety of moves from different types, including Fairy as well as Psychic, so the evolution is quite worth it. If however, you want to stick to the cute little Teddiursa, you can stop its evolution midway, and it won’t evolve into an Ursaring.
If you’re feeling a bit bold, you can go try your luck at catching an Ursaring directly, and escape having to level Teddiursa up to Level 30. Ursaring can be found in the North Province, which is Area One and Area Two, and can be a pain to catch, so go in prepared.

In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Ursaring could be further evolved into a new Stage Two evolution called Ursaluna. This evolution, much to the dismay of the fanbase, isn’t included in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
