Where to get Axew in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The small and lovely Axew can be seen lurking around these two biomes; mountain and river, at any time of the day. Hop on to your Koraidon (Pokémon Scarlet) or Miraidon (Pokémon Violet) and head to the following areas:

Make sure to bring the right team if you’re planning to catch Axew. Axew is much more vulnerable to Ice, Fairy and Dragon-type attacks, and using it against it might make it faint, completely removing your chances of getting one of those. Axew can be evolved into Fraxure upon reaching Level 38, while Fraxure is bound to transform into a Haxorus only after leveling up to Level 48. There’s no need to meet several requirements similar to that of Special Evolutions, so all you have to do is continue joining battles, Tera Raid Battles, and using rare candies or EXP candies.

Can you get Fraxure and Haxorus without evolving Axew?

The answer is yes and no.

If you’re not a fan of Axew’s charming appearance and want to go straight into having Fraxure on your team, you can find these in the colder areas of the map; the northern part and at the foot of Glaseado Mountain, and North Province (Area One). Fraxure also shares the same weakness as the Axew, so use the same types of attack to catch one of these.
