How to Play With Friends in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The multiplayer mode allows players to not only organize battles, trade Pokémon and participate in raid battles; it also allows players to have picnics together where they can interact with the Pokémon as well.

You’ll also be able to go on adventures with your friends in the Pokémon world, something that fans have been wanting for a decade now but until now has not been possible.
How To Play with Friends with the Union Circle
Communication had always been a problem in Pokémon games but thankfully in Scarlet and Violet this is solved by the Union Circle.
There you can access the Poké Portal which will allow players to keep track of their friends by letting them know what they are up to and what activities they are engaging in.

You can even use the Poke Portal to visit your friend’s worlds by playing the game online.
Follow our steps to play with friends in Scarlet and Violet:
- Pause the game, then in the menu, select Union Circle. If you are at the Pokemon Center, then you can access this by interacting with the yellow screen.
- Once inside the Union Circle, you can create a group or join one.
- If you decide to create a group, then your friends will join your world. But if you are joining a group, then you will go into the host’s world.
- Then decide if you want to play online or locally.
- Once a group is formed, the game will give you a 4 digit link code, which you will need to share with your friends. But if you are joining your friends group, then they will need to give you a 4 digital link code.
- After entering the codes, you all will be in one game and can freely explore Paldean. All of you can join in battles, catch Pokemons, join in raids or just roam around, since Scarlet and Violet is open play.

The Raid Battles
One of the more interesting aspects of online play and what most players are looking forward to given the success of raid battles in Sword and Shield are the Tera Raid Battles.
