Path of Exile 2 is ready for Early Access which will then dovetail into a full release. After years of waiting and following the sequel’s development, players across all platforms need to wait just a bit longer to head back to Wraeclast. But not all platforms, like Mac, or PCs are ready to run the game. That’s where players start looking at alternative services, such as GeForce NOW. So will PoE2 be available on Nvidia’s online platform? Let’s find out.
Will you be able to play Path of Exile 2 on GeForce NOW?
The Grinding Gears Games devs have stated that they plan to have Path of Exile 2 available on GeForce NOW from launch. Early Access is a different matter, however. They would still like to have the EA game setup, but that isn’t only their decision to make. In an interview with Talkative Tri on YouTube, Jonathan Rogers, PoE2’s game director, gave a quickfire answer about the Early Access version on the platform: “I believe it’s supposed to be. We’ve been told this, so hopefully that works out and people can use [GeForce NOW].”
What are the benefits of playing Path of Exile 2 with GeForce NOW?
GeForce NOW is Nvidia’s cloud subscription service that provides hardware and storage capabilities that your system might not have. By using it, you are essentially streaming the game, like PoE2, on your system while using Nvidia’s hardware and storage. All you need to have is a subscription and a stable internet connection. For Path of Exile 2, that would mean that Mac players can play the game, as well as anyone whose PC is a bit behind the times. You will need close to 120GB of free space for PoE2 Early Access, for example, and GeForce NOW can take care of that for you. However, it is a subscription service, with a few tiers. There is a free option that gives you only the basic specs and one-hour sessions to get a taste. Then there are Performance and Ultimate memberships, which will net you much better performance and session times. These memberships cost $10.99 and $21.99 per month, respectively. There are also options for a daily pass and 6-month memberships available.
