Overwatch 2 Season introduces a bundle of new content, not least brand new tank hero Ramattra. Described by Blizzard as the game’s first tempo tank, Ramattra can embody two forms – Omnic and Nemesis – each with its own set of abilities, strengths, and weaknesses.Â
We rate Ramattra as a reasonably easy hero to grasp, with a tool kit that very much sticks to what it says on the tin. However, the key to mastering Ramattra lies in maximizing his dual-form stance and knowing when and where to use each one. This all starts with a firm understanding of Ramattra’s abilities, which we break down below.

Overwatch 2 Ramattra Weapons
Void Accelerator – Omnic Form
The Void Accelerator staff emits a stream of damage-dealing nanites in a fixed pattern as a primary attack. Though the nanites’ movement speed is slow compared to traditional gun-type primary attacks, damage is sustained with an increase for headshot crits.
Void Barrier – Omnic Form
The Void Accelerator’s secondary ability is a short-duration placeable barrier with 1000 HP. The shield can be placed at the targeted location with a relatively generous placement range.
Pummel – Nemesis Form
Pummel’s primary fire is a hefty forward punch that throws out a wave of energy. The wave has piercing damage and travels through shields. It damages multiple enemies at a time within its range.
Block – Nemesis Form –
The second ability of Ramattra’s Nemesis Form is a block that reduces incoming front damage. The trade-off is a momentary reduction in movement speed and leaves Ramattra’s back exposed to enemy attacks.
Overwatch 2 Ramattra Abilities
Ravenous Vortex
Ramattra throws a nano ball that creates a damaging field as it explodes onto the targeted location. The field slows and pulls down enemies caught in its radius.
Nemesis Form
Ramattra’s second ability triggers Nemesis Form, granting a different set of primary and secondary abilities highlighted above, bonus armor, and a larger hitbox.
Overwatch 2 Ramattra Ultimate
Annihilation
Annihilation automatically and immediately transforms Ramattra to Nemesis Form and unleashes a large radius energy swarm around him. The swarm inflicts steady damage to all and any enemies in range. Annihilation’s duration timer also pauses while the swarm continues to deal damage to enemies, sustaining the swarm and keeping Ramattra in Nemesis Form.
Passive – Tank
Like all tanks in Overwatch 2, Ramattra’s passive reduces the effect of knockbacks by 30%. Additionally, Ramattra generates less ultimate ability charge for enemies attacking him.
That covers it for Overwatch 2 Ramattra abilities. Fancy knowing how Ramattra stacks up to the rest of the Overwatch 2 roster? Check out our tier list.
