Once Human network error fix

There are a few possible causes for the network error, with the issue being either a server-side problem or a problem with your own setup. First things first, here’s what you should do to fix the situation step by step:

  1. Check if the servers are down
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Use a VPN
  4. Check your firewall settings
  5. Restart your PC

Check if the servers are down

Before you do anything, head to the game’s official website or social media to see if an announcement has been made about any server downtime. With so many players trying to get onto the game at once, it’s no surprise that the servers have been overloaded. There’s no point trying to fix it yourself if it’s a server-side issue, so if this is the case you’ll just have to wait for a fix.

Check your internet connection

Check to see if it’s a problem with your internet. Your connection might be slow at the time or have potentially gone down completely, so it’s worth seeing if your internet is working fine on other games or things like YouTube. If there’s an issue, try restarting your router or using a wired connection to make things more stable.

Change your VPN settings

Some players have reported that turning on a VPN has solved their problem, while others have reported that turning off their VPN has solved their problem. If you use a VPN, it’s worth quickly turning it on or off just to see if it makes a difference – you can always revert it if nothing changes.

Check your firewall settings

Sometimes your firewall might not recognise a game and flag it as something dangerous, which can cause them not to be able to load properly. Head into your antivirus software and make sure that you’ve got Once Human set to be ignored when checking for viruses and this could solve the issue.

Restart your PC

The classic last-ditch move, the number of times we’ve fixed something simply by turning our PCs off and on again is huge. If all else fails, this is always worth trying out, even if it can be a bit of a hassle.

If none of these work, then it’s likely that the issue is going to be with the servers themselves. Be sure to keep checking up on the official channels for any announcements and in the meantime, just be patient. Wait 30 minutes or so and then try again, and you might be able to get on.
