What are Program Stars in MLB The Show 23? With MLB The Show 23 out for well over a month now, fans have had the opportunity to take in all the modes the new baseball video game has to offer. This has been especially true for Diamond Dynasty, a mode that’s featured a handful of programs, pack releases, events, and more, all of which have taken place during Season 1.
But earning the quality prizes these different features in Diamond Dynasty come with, is easier said than done, particularly for programs such as the new MLB The Show 23 Mexico City Series. For those that don’t know, Diamond Dynasty is home to several fun, unique programs that allow fans to unlock all sorts of great prizes. For each program, comes a rewards path, usually containing MLB The Show 23 Packs, Stubs, Diamond players, and sometimes neat profile icons and banners.
But what do Program Stars have to do with all of this and how do they play into Diamond Dynasty Programs? Not to fret! Here in this guide, we breakdown exactly what Program Stars are and how they play into the different programs MLB The Show 23 is home to in Diamond Dynasty.
MLB The Show 23 – What are Program Stars?
With every program MLB The Show 23 releases in Diamond Dynasty, comes a rewards path. When you view each program’s rewards path, you will see numbers next to what will look like red / golden looking star emblems underneath each tier as illustrated above. These numbers next to the star emblems represent the ‘Program Stars’, which in short, are the program’s progression points that fans need to secure in order to progress through each rewards path.
To earn these Program Stars, fans have to complete the program’s corresponding Missions, Moments, Showdowns, Conquests, and Collections. Naturally, each program will not come with all of these tasks and will vary with how many program stars they entail of. That said, as you progress through the tasks each program has, you will start to gather more Program Stars for it, which will lead you to then earn the rewards available.
Keep in mind though that program stars are not related or even remotely the same to that of Diamond Dynasty XP. The two progression materials are completely separate. Earning XP in MLB The Show 23 requires you to play the game, while program stars are secured by completing specific program Missions, Moments, and any additional specific tasks.
Should you be looking to complete any of the available programs in MLB The Show 23 – including the fun Charisma Series Program – you will have to earn the program stars for that program to climb your way through the rewards path. Though some of these new programs look a bit daunting to complete, MLB The Show 23 does a great job keeping the tasks light and fun to go along with plenty of great rewards.
