How to gift Marvel Rivals skins to friends

Marvel Rivals Season 2, titled Hellfire Gala, has finally arrived with a stunning assortment of items and features for the popular hero shooter. The season begins with the introduction of Emma Frost, a psychic Vanguard with a diamond-hard edge, and immerses players in Krakoa, a vivid mutant paradise.

A new Domination map, Hellfire Gala: Krakoa, replaces prior competitive maps and features a vibrant environment and spectacular fights. The Flower of Krakoa Battle Pass includes 10 new outfits, ranging from Spider-Man’s sleek threads to Magik’s classic X-Men style, as well as free skins, such as Mantis’s Flora Maiden, obtained through the Cerebro Database event.

Competitive players face a rank reset and revised Marvel Rivals Championship rewards, while Twitch Drops, which run until April 30, include Namor’s new skin and more. However, stealing the show is a brand-new gifting function, which allows players to share cosmetics with their friends for the first time. Here’s how you can gift a cosmetic item to your friend in Marvel Rivals.

How to gift an item in Marvel Rivals

To gift an item, select a bundle from the Marvel Rivals Store just as you would while purchasing it. There, you’ll spot a Gift icon. Click on it, and a friends list will appear, showing your friends who are eligible to receive gifts.

After selecting a friend, you’ll enter the gifting interface, where you can review the available gifts and their required Lattice. You can also customize the message that you’ll send to your friend while sending them the item. Once done, click on the Lattice Icon to process the payment and send the gift to your friend.

Once sent, the gift will appear in your friend’s inventory as soon as they return to the lobby, even if they are offline when sent.

How does gifting work?

To be eligible to gift an item to a friend in Marvel Rivals, you need to reach Level 10 on your account, which will unlock this feature for you. Furthermore, you can send a maximum of 5 gifts per day. Remember, gifts can only be sent if your friend does not already own the item.

If your friend already possesses any item in the bundle, the cost will be adjusted to only charge for the items they need. It is also important to note that Gifts are irreversible and non-refundable once sent. Also, for anyone who is caught using illicit methods to manipulate gifting, NetEase’s backend systems will retract the gift instantly.
