Comfrey is used in all manner of alchemy recipes and is needed for a few quests, including the early game Miri Fajta side quest. In this one, you’re tasked with tracking the nomad Voivode’s daughter, Marika, which will take you to the farm northeastern corner of Trosky. Returning back to the Nomad’s Camp, you’ll have to gather various herbs for medicine to heal Marika’s wounded lover, Bohush. Among them is Comfrey.
According to the in-game blurb, Comfrey grows on banks near water and in ditches around fields. This gives you quite a few options. To help you save, this guide will walk you through where to find Comfrey in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Comfrey locations in Kingdom Come Deliverance
By far the easiest place to find Comfrey in the early game is in the apothecary’s garden in Troskowitz. You’ll find 18 plants in the plots just to the right of the stairs that lead up to the apothecary shop. Look for the orange marigolds, then look south for the leafy green plants with purple flowers.

You also find Comfrey is on the banks of the ponds to the east of Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn. You’ll find it around the two smaller ponds, the larger one to the northwest, and along the stream to the southeast.

Check the map above for a spot where you can pick up to 10 Comfrey in one quick run. It’s on the very southern tip of the south pond. It’s useful for farming given the proximity of the Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn fast travel point, so you can quickly get there and back without too much trouble.

There’s also another spot on the northern tip of the larger of the two ponds to the north. Again, check the image just above for the exact map location. Here, you’ll find a bunch of three Comfrey, without a two a few steps further north.

Finally, there’s a reasonably large bunch of Comfrey plants on the western bank of the larger pond to the north, just past the Overturned Cart point of interest. Follow the road northwest from Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn to reach it.
Beyond these, any waterway, whether it’s a pond, lake, stream, or river, is likely to have Comfrey growing on its bank. It’s far more prevalent than say Belladonna. As for ditches, Comfrey doesn’t grow there quite as frequently, so we recommend focusing mainly on banks near water for the best yields.
