Unfortunately it does not appear Lego 2K Drive will be free to play on any of the platforms it’s set to launch on. While there is some speculation about the game’s future with Game Pass, for now, the game is going to be sticking to a pay-for-access strategy. It’ll be launching across a variety of consoles as well as on PC.

The game’s price is currently set for £49.99, with the Awesome Edition set for £89.99, and the Awesome Rivals Edition set at £104.99. We’ll leave it up to you to determine whether those prices are worth it, but feel free to take a look at some of our other coverage on the game, like if Lego 2K Drive is split screen for local multiplayer, to help make an informed decision.

If you’re buying on console, keep in mind too that for PlayStation devices you’ll need an active PS Plus subscription to use the game’s online features. For Xbox devices meanwhile, you’ll need to have a Game Pass Ultimate or an Xbox Live Gold subscription to use online services in-game.

The game is currently in pre-purchase, with launch on all platforms scheduled for May 19th.
