In the closing beats of The Stolen Cat Mummy adventure in the Vatican, Indy and Gina end up in an ancient trial chamber dubbed the Gold Path Trial. Four columns sit above a pit of flames only slightly out of reach thanks to an ornate metal floor. There are levers to pull and chains to tug along with some clever deduction needed to solve this testing puzzle. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to solve the Gold Path Trial in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Indiana Jones Gold Path Puzzle solution
To solve the Gold Path puzzle, you’ll need to head to the back of the chamber near the lever and two giant statues holding out their hands. Go through the doorway on your left and follow the path to find two chains you can pull to move the suspended pillars backwards and forwards above the fire. Pull the first towards you until you see the fire on the floor glow yellow. Repeat the same process for the second chain. Check the images above for the exact locations where you want to position the suspended pillars.

Swing and jump to the hand hold on the closest pillar. Captured by VideoGamer
Wait for Gina to shift the pillar then whip up to the grapple above the hole in the wall. Captured by VideoGamer
Return to the main chamber and look up on the right for a whip grapple point jutting out from the wall about half-way up. Grapple up, then face towards the lever and statues, then swing and jump across to the hand hold on the pillar ahead. Gina will then pull the chains, moving you across the room towards a hole in the wall on the other side of the chamber. Above it is another grapple point. Whip up and go through the gap. Gina will reposition the pillars to where they need to be.

Pull the chain to the right of the door to get back to the main chamber. Captured by VideoGamer
Drop down through the hole in the floor. You’ll find two more chains that you can use to reposition the other suspended pillars. Do as you did before: pull on the chain until the fire on the floor glows bright yellow. Repeat for the second chain. Next to the closed door is another chain you need to pull to open it and get back to the chamber.
Interact with the lever next to the statue to open the door and complete the Gold Path Trial puzzle. Press on into the forge and pull the chain to produce the Golden Key, which is needed to progress.
