Underneath the Post Office in the Vatican is a small cellar that is rather uninteresting other than a large chest sure to contain some coveted loot. Unfortunately, and as these things so often go, it’s locked and requires the input of a four digit code to open. You’ll likely visit the cellar as part of the A Savage Discovery Fieldwork. You’re tasked with tracking down a stone fragment, which is conveniently key to finding the code. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the cellar chest code in Indiana Jones.

Where to find the cellar chest code in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

The code to open the cellar chest is 1136. To get the code, you’ll need to visit the cellar as part of the A Savage Discovery Fieldwork. Enter the cellar and grab the stone fragment straight ahead. This will trigger a short cutscene where a Blackshirt guard hauls in a large artifact before dropping it and attacking Indiana Jones. When you regain control of Indy, take down the guard. You’ll then notice that his body is glowing white – the game’s way of telling you that you can loot something from the body. Loot the guard’s body to get the Lockbox Note.

Reading the note, you’ll find out that the captain recently changed the code and receive the following hint: November, last year. Numerically, November equates to 11 – the eleventh month of the year. We also know that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle takes place in 1937. Wind it back a year and we get 1936. We can omit the 19, giving us 1136.

Head over the lockbox at the back of the cellar and input 1136. Inside the chest you’ll find the Street Scrapper I Adventure Book, which when unlocked gives Indy increased damage with one or two-handed melee weapons.
