Luna is the first new character released as part of The First Descendant’s post-launch content plan. If you want to unlock her, then expect a bit of a grind. Here’s everything you need to know to unlock Luna in The First Descendant.

Best ways to grind and unlock Luna in The First Descendant

To unlock Luna, you need to grind a list of basic farming materials and some rare resources, including Luna Enhanced Cells, Luna Stabilizer, Luna Spiral Catalyst, and Luna Code. Below is a table laying out all the items you’ll need:

ItemsRequirements
Luna Enhanced Cells430 Silicon, 554 Carbon Crystals, 40 Pure Energy Crystals, 1 Luna Enhanced Cells Blueprint
Luna Stabilizer292 Flectorite, 303 Helion, 34 Highly-concentrated Energy residue, 1 Luna Stabilizer Blueprint.
Luna Spiral Catalyst571 Superfluid, 386 Hardener, 46 Biometal, Luna Spiral Catalyst Blueprint
Luna CodeChance to drop from opening the 094 mutant amorphous materials at the end of the Gluttony or Swamp Walker bosses.

Here are all the materials and ingredients you’ll need:

MaterialHow to get
SiliconEcho Swamp munitions and resource boxes.
Carbon CHagios munition and resource boxes.
Pure Energy CrystalsNormal and Hard mode Fortress storage boxes or Encrypted Vaults. Bonus resource acquisition via players using Enzio’s passive.
Lune Enchanced CellsWe recommend farming The Shelter for the Vesper content on normal. They tend to have a decent drop rate. There is about a 38% drop chance, meaning you statistically only need to run it a few times.
FlectoriteFarm resource and munitions boxes from White Gulch.
HelionResource and Minion boxes on Fortress. You should be able to farm these while running around for your Pure Energy Crystals
Highly Concentrated EnergyRun normal missions on Hagios for lower drop chances, but very easy runs that you can easily complete in a few minutes. You can also farm the Encrypted Vaults Breakers while running around on Hard mode if you fancy a challenge and a higher drop rate.
Stabilizer BlueprintFarm Hard Mode Dead Bride or Gluttony for the Amorphous Materials needed. You have about a 32% chance to get the blueprint.
SuperfluidSterile Land munitions and resource boxes.
HardenerVespers Munitions and Resource boxes.
BiometalComplete strategic outposts on Haglios for the easier-to-farm content. There are some available from the Void Fusion Reactors but they are expensive and not worth farming if you can avoid it.
Spiral Catalyst BlueprintVesper Void Fusion Reactor requires the 015 Mutant AA Amorphous Material, which you get from the Moonlight Lake: Vulgus Strategic Outpost. Keep running that Outpost for the material to then spend on the Fusion Reactor in Vesper. You have about a 20% chance of getting the material, so you may need to run it a few times. You have a 38% chance to get the Catalyst Blueprint from the Reactor.
Luna’s CodeFarm either Swamp Walker hard or Gluttony hard to consume your 094 Mutant Amorphous Materials. You can get the material from the Agna Desert hard mode in the Asylum area. It’s a 100% drop chance from your select reward screen. There’s about a 32% chance you get the Luna code from the Amorphous Material.

You now have an idea on how to farm each material and the recommended farming strategies with respectable drop rates. Expect some grinding. It’s part of the nature of unlocking Descendants in The First Descendant. You can also pay for Luna if you want, but we think she’s average at the moment due to the limited viability of support heroes in The First Descendant.
