The Payday 3 open beta follows on from a previous closed technical beta, though this one is going to be a little larger as we close on a release date. While it’s not confirmed yet, this is going to be the first opportunity for many to bite down on what the latest rendition of the cult classic heist game has to offer.
How to play the Payday 3 beta
Unfortunately, it seems that access to the Open Beta isn’t currently available on both platforms at the time of writing, which means you may have to wait until the Payday 3 beta start date itself to start downloading it onto your platform. Keep in mind that access for Xbox players will be given based on a first come, first served basis. Steam players, on the other hand, will be able to see the game in their libraries a few moments after requesting access to the technical beta.
How to sign up for the Payday 3 beta on PC
To join the Open Beta, you will need to request access through the game’s Steam page on PC. To recap, here’s what you’ll need to do to join the Open Beta that’s taking place soon on PC.
- Go to Payday 3’s Steam page
- Scroll down
- Towards the bottom you’ll see a Join the PAYDAY 3 Playtest banner
- Click Request Access
Once you’ve done the above, you’re going to receive access when the time comes to it.
How to sign up for the Payday 3 beta on Xbox
If you’re playing on Xbox, you will need to select it under the “Previews” section of the Xbox Insider Hub and select Payday 3 in the right tab.
- Head to Previews
- Search for Payday 3 and you’ll find an option to join the beta
