3 Steps to Make a Book in Minecraft
#1 Obtain 3 Paper
Paper is a renewable resource in Minecraft that can be obtained in many ways like crafting, adventuring, or fighting! And the most efficient way to craft paper in Minecraft is to use 3 sugar cane.
Shipwrecks, strongholds, and villages are the only 3 structures with chests containing some paper in them. They have a fairly high chance to contain up to 12 papers.
#2 Obtain 1 Leather
Leather is also a renewable resource in Minecraft. Most of the time, you get leather directly by killing specific mobs. Passive mobs like cows, mushrooms, llamas, trader llamas, mules, donkeys, and horses drop 0-2 leather on death. And the hostile hoglins only drop 0-1 leather on death. So it’s wiser to aim for passive mobs!
With Looting enchantment, the amount of leather dropped from the mobs is increased per enchantment level. Up to 5 leather per mob if you’re lucky!
Leather can also be obtained by fishing in Minecraft. With an unenchanted fishing rod, you will have a 1% chance to catch leather. And the chance is decreased by 0.2% for each Luck of The Sea enchantment level.

#1 By Adventuring and Looting Chests
Villages, Shipwrecks, Strongholds, and Ancient Cities are the four structures with chests containing books in Minecraft. The more dangerous the structure is, the more book you will get from each chest.
For example, chests in villages can only contain 1 book while chests in ancient cities can store up to 10 books. Ultimately, if you want to get books this way, try to look for as many shipwrecks as possible.
#2 By Disenchanting Enchanted Books
If you have any leftover enchanted books by any chance, you can put them in the Grindstone block to get a normal book and some experience points.
If you’re in the village and have the Hero of the Village effect, the librarian village may throw a book at you. But this is quite hard to achieve so it better focus on the primary way.
