Factions play a big part in Fallout games and Fallout London is no different, drafting in various factions to bring post-apocalyptic London to life and give players choices and consequences to shape their experience. By joining factions, you’ll meet a rich cast of characters but also unlock a slew of optional side quests. However, it’s somewhat difficult to work out how to team up with one. In this guide, we’ll explain how to join factions in Fallout London.

All Fallout London joinable factions

Here are all the factions you can join Fallout London:

  • Camelot
  • Fifth Column
  • Angel
  • Syndicate
  • Vagabonds
  • Pistols

The Camelot, Fifth Column, and Angel faction are related to the main story. You’ll receive an option partway through the Westminster Act of the story that allows you to investigate one of the three main factions. To avoid spoiler, we’ll side step going into any detail about what your choice entails.

You can enter Westminster about a third of the way through the story. You’ll need to wrap things up in Thameshaven, then complete Archie and the Ferryman’s respective quest lines. From there, press on with the story to St Paul’s Cathedral and Lazarus’ quest line, then on to the Tommies at the Imperial War Museum, then on to the Bank of England. After this, work through the Heaven quest and reach Hackney and Islington. From there, you’ll unlock the entrance into Westminster, where you will get to know a little more about these three factions and join one of them. Note that you can only join one faction per playthrough. Joining either Camelot, Fifth Column or Angel prevents you from joining the other factions.

How to Join the Vagabond and the Syndicate

Aside from the three main story factions, you can also join the Vagabond and Syndicate as part of the gang war quest line. You initially start this quest chain after the tutorial train crash. You’ll speak to Gaunt and he’ll tell you to come to the Swan and Mitre, located in the southeast corner of the map. You’ll have a waypoint on your map to easily find the location. From there, you’ll start questing with the Vagabonds.

If you want to join the Syndicate, you can do so by following the Vagabond storyline. Part way through you’ll get the chance to join the faction. Both the Vagabond and the Syndicate have their own storylines that don’t affect the outcome of the main story.

Can you join the Pistols?

The final faction in Fallout London is the Pistols. These are based on London’s punk-era band The Sex Pistols. You can find them in a pub in Camden, located on the northwest side of the map. You can join them and secure a bedroom for the trouble that serves as housing similar to what you’d find in older Bethesda games like Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3. Camden is one of the largest maps in the northwest of the main London map and is only accesible by progressing the main story.
