Marvel Rivals has hosted a number of events since its launch that not only improve the gameplay experience but also provide players the opportunity to receive free goodies. The Winter Celebration was one of the most memorable events, with players able to participate in Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival, a one-of-a-kind game mode featuring the popular character, Jeff the Land Shark.
This event allowed players to acquire Jeff’s adorable Cuddly Fuzzlefin skin, much to the pleasure of the community, demonstrating Marvel Rivals’ commitment to giving back to its player base through free, event-related incentives. This next event features the Clash of Dancing Lions mode, which combines soccer with superhero action, and it also gives players the opportunity to claim a free Star-Lord skin.

How to claim free Marvel Rivals Star-Lord Lion’s Mane costume
In order to claim the free Star-Lord Lion’s Mane costume in Marvel Rivals, you’ll need to claim five rewards in the Fortune & Colors pass that has been added to the game. To complete the pass, you’ll need to earn Danqing (red dye) by completing challenges and playing the new Clash of Dancing Lions mode.
Once you complete a challenge, you’ll receive 25 Danqing and you’ll need a total of 100 Danqing to paint the scroll on the event pass page and unlock a reward. So, to unlock the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane costume, you’ll need to earn 600 Danqing by playing the new game mode more often and completing all the Fortune & Colors event challenges. Each day, two new challenges will be released in the Missions menu where you can track your progress. The Fortune & Colors page also has several more cosmetic rewards other than the skin. They are:
- Drum and Roar Nameplate
- Snake’s Luck Spray
- 200 Chrono Tokens
- Lion’s Mane Nameplate
- Lion’s Mane Spray
- Lion Roll Star-Lord Emote
- Lion Dance Star-Lord MVP Movie

You can also try out the new Star-Lord skin, the new Iron Fist, and Black Widow skins themed after the Spring Festival while playing the Clash of Dancing Lions game mode. Just select your character and score goals to win it for your team.
