How to Get Coins in Pokemon TCG

The Pokemon TCG, just like any other Pokémon game,  has a handy in-game Shop. This Shop lets us buy all new packs of cards and even booster packs that we can use in our battles and even trade with friends. To purchase goods from this Shop, you will need Pokémon TCG coins, and you can’t buy them with your actual currency.

How to Earn Coins in Pokemon TCG

There are three ways to earn the PokéCoins in Pokémon TCG: the Daily Reward Pokécoins, the Trainer Challenge PokéCoins, and the PvP versus Battle PokéCoins. In The Pokémon Trading Card Game, PokéCoins or Tokens are used to purchase a variety of cool booster packs, themed card decks, cosmetic items to upgrade your avatar, and even as a buy-in ticket into big tournaments. 

Despite being extremely important in the game, the PokéCoins are very easy to earn, and we’re here to tell you all the ways you can earn them. Let’s talk about each one in more detail.

From Daily Bonus Rewards

The home tab of the Pokémon Trading Card Game has a Pokéball in the bottom right of the screen. This is the Daily Bonus which has a 5-day cycle, where if you check in daily for five days, you get a random pack.

But usually, three out of the five days offer up to 15 free coins each. If you’re consistent, you can get around 30 coins from Pokemon TCG every five days just by logging in and opening the Daily Bonus.

From Trainer Challenges

You can also get coins by playing the Trainer Challenge in Pokemon TCG. This is where you play against AI trainers who have different elemental-type decks. We would suggest setting the difficulty level to hard as it increases the score multiplier.

You get coins and a star when you beat a trainer with any deck of cards. Each trainer can have up to 4 stars, indicating the number of different decks that you have beat them with. The greater the stars of a trainer, the more coins you get from them. So essentially, you will get coins whenever you beat a trainer, but you’ll get a greater amount if you get those trainers to 3 stars each.

From Ranked Online PvP Versus Matches

The third way to obtain more coins in Pokemon TCG is by participating in the Ranked Online Player versus Player matches. For every new day, the first game you play will give you 11 free daily bonus coins.

Moreover, at the end of every PvP game that you play, you get random prizes, which are likely to have coins as well. You get more depending on how well you perform in that particular battle.
