Like any game with a pre-release period, players who managed to experience Once Human during its Closed Beta Test will be given a few rewards for their dedication. One of the rewards you can get is Lightforge Medals, the in-game currency you can use to purchase various items, such as new outfits.
That said, you may be wondering how you can collect the Lightforge Medals you earned throughout the course of the CBT. How to get Lightforge Medals beta reward in Once Human
You can only claim your Lightforge Medals closed beta test reward by logging in through NetEase Games’ official launcher, Loading Bay. According to the Once Human team (via their Discord server), the Lightforge Medals you earned during the CBT “won’t be moved to Steam,” so you will have to use Loading Bay to make use of them. In addition, the Steam Demo rewards are also only available via the NetEase launcher, per their statement below.
Predictably enough, community reaction has largely been negative since most people prefer playing on the more established Steam and Epic Games platforms. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the developers plan to make these rewards available on other launchers soon. So, unless you wouldn’t mind losing out on these goodies, you will have to play Once Human on Loading Bay.
How to download Loading Bay launcher
If you want to download NetEase Games’ Loading Bay Launcher, follow these steps:
- Head to the official Loading Bay launcher website.
- Press the “Download” button found on the upper right corner of the home page.
- Click on the Loading Bay .exe file once it’s finished downloading.
- Specify the location where you want to install the launcher on.
- Afterward, login, download Once Human, and start playing the game.
