How to fix Stuck in Drop Pod bug in Helldivers 2

First things first, we’re sad to say that if you’ve encountered this bug, you aren’t going to be able to continue your current mission, and you’ll at the very least have to restart your game. Close Helldivers 2 and restart it, and try entering another mission. If you’re still faced with the bug, there are a couple of things you can do to fix it.

Next, restart your entire PC or console. It’s surprising how often a quick reboot can solve any issues in a game, and many players have reported that quickly turning their platform off and on again has done the trick.

Specifically for PC players, the next thing you’ll want to try is to verify your game files. Open your Steam library, right-click on Helldivers 2 and open up ‘Properties’. From here, click on the ‘Installed Files’ tab, and then click ‘Verify integrity of game files’. This will scan your files for any missing ones and will install them if it finds a discrepancy.

Lastly, if all of the above still hasn’t worked, your last option is to reinstall the game. We know this probably isn’t the news you wanted to hear, as uninstalling and reinstalling a game the size of Helldivers 2 isn’t exactly quick, but it’s better than not being able to play at all, right?

Hopefully one of these options worked for you and you’re back in-game slaying Terminids and Automatons alike. If you’re after some more help, our Helldivers 2 Bile Spewers, Helldivers 2 Devastators, Helldivers 2 Fuel Silos and Helldivers 2 Defend Campaigns guides should have you covered.
