With Gotham Knights now out in the wild, many players are facing up to the fact that Gotham Knights’ performance isn’t as good as expected. Despite being quite the looker and sporting some serious visual flair, choppy frame rates and frequent FPS drops are a major issue in Gotham Knights, even on what are considered solid gaming rigs. After spending some quality time with WB Games Montreal’s latest open-world crime fighting sim, we’ve gathered together the best settings for PC when playing Gotham Knights.

Gotham Knights – Best Settings For PC
With these settings, we’re aiming for a stable, constant 60 FPS at 1080p, foregoing niceties like RTX for the extra frames while not sacrificing too much visual fidelity. These settings should mitigate most, if not all, of the frame drops, especially when out exploring the city where they are most pronounced. Indoor settings, like the Belfry HQ, and on-rail missions perform vastly better and it’s much easier to maintain a steady performance.
Basic:
- Display Mode – Borderless Full Screen
- V-Sync – Off (we didn’t encounter any screen tearing issues, so best conserve some performance)
Resolution Quality:
- Dynamic Resolution – Off
- Max FPS Limit – 60
- Upscaling Type – NVIDIA DLSS/AMD FSR 2 (choose as required based on your GPU)
- Upscale Quality – Performance (if you’re not getting the frame rates you want, bump it up to Ultra Performance)
- Sharpening Level – Off
Advanced:
- Field of View – 75
- Ray Tracing – Off
- Motion Blur – Off
- Ambient Occlusion – Off
- Bloom – Off
- Chromatic Aberration – Off
- Depth of Field – Off

If these Gotham Knights best settings for PC still aren’t delivering the performance you want, lower the quality as a first port of call. Quality has the biggest impact of any of the settings.
